Risk

“The greatest risk in life is not taking one”.
Risk is an inevitable ingredient of the pace of life. We hear us saying ” not taking risk”. Do we really not? I think we do. Someone says that taking a step in itself is a risk, for one can stumble or fall down. Isn’t it? If ‘risk’ is the “exposure to harm” or even merely the possibility of loss then of course it is. Taking a step is a risk. It’s not that how we perceive things but it is how we interpret. It’s about how we mould possibilities.

“Life isn’t fair. It’s just fairer than death, that’s all”.
“Death is more than certain” but life precedes it for sure. Undeniably, man has the choice in life. Man is the chooser if not looser. Man chooses the roads he takes , leaving behind ‘the road not taken’. Hereby begins the the voyage of uncertainties of the steps being taken. Lo! Hereby begins the travelogue of risks.

Challenging rhythm for the sake of rhythm, risk, no doubt brings about change. Change which is the food of life, its sustainability and growth. Growth towards and leading to Eternity.

Yes, it’s like that. Doing nothing, in itself is a risk. Why not do something then?
Isn’t it that the better the chances we avail, the greater the risks we take?
Why not take a risk for a better and greater change then?
Prudent decisions soothe the feet if not relieve the legs, during the barefooted race of life. Do not ever underestimate conscious wit. Let’s take risks and bring about change.
If possible!
Is it possible?

Pursuit, First Instance

There are different levels of pursuit like of Happiness, Popularity, Money, excellence etc. One among them is the pursuit of Prestige. Human beings are social animals as often quoted. We love others to know what we have achieved. We do this because we want to be recognized and encouraged so that we might be motivated or simply give a good impression. We do it by showing our connection with others (people or things) that we consider worthy or important.

Examples :

“When I was in XY University, I used to study 5 hours daily”. (We can say just university but we don’t do it because it’s about prestige). We try to show our college badges, student cards etc. This is how we try to inspire others by motivating ourselves. This is bit natural. Prestige is a mid-level pursuit.

Gain is Struggle.

Gain is served by intense labour and at the expense of time in plenty, more specifically material one. The end of gain has its footings piled upon desires of satisfaction and love for success. Everybody craves for height of being. Everybody yearns for the apogees of existence, in a worldly sense.

Here rises a realization of what it takes to be there in our own eyes, tempus, the time. People with gains based on no expense of time or sweat are truly akin to God. Since we are earthly that is why we cannot manage to go beyond the physical world to the depths of mysticism practically. It is spiritual in bodily sense. We can manage to earn through expense, not without it. It also accompanies pain.

Material gain is compulsory but it must not be the goal. The goal must be greater than our approach.

Somebody has rightly said that try to jump to the point a little bit higher than your approach, that is struggle, effort. That is the end. If you will only try to achieve what you can than there is no growth for you. You are as dead-still as you are then.
